GDGSA 22nd Annual Conference: Mind & Memory in Germanic Studies

February 25, 2022 - February 26, 2022

Event website: gdgsaconference.german.wisc.edu/

The German and Dutch Graduate Student Organization at UW-Madison presents its 22nd annual conference, “Mind & Memory in Germanic Studies”, on February 25-26, 2022, virtually on Zoom.

We are excited to announce our keynote speaker, Nick Henry (University of Texas at Austin), and our pedagogical workshop with Sunny Yudkoff (UW-Madison) as some of the highlights of this year’s conference!

Acquiring another language can inspire both learners and teachers to reflect on the changes that they undergo during the learning process. In recent years, researchers have wrestled with how language affects the way we think and how it impacts the way we understand the world. Furthermore, the role our own memories play in creating our reality and informing the way we interpret literature warrants further study. This conference seeks to shed light on how our experiences interacting with the Germanic world can impact us.

February 25th, 2022: 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm

February 26th, 2022: 9:30 am – 1:00 pm
