Research/Language Interests: Norwegian language teaching.

About: Peggy Hager is part time Senior Lecturer in the Department of German, Nordic and Slavic. She teaches beginning and intermediate Norwegian language.  She has an undergraduate degree in German Education (UW-Eau Claire) and a M.A. in Scandinavian Studies from UW-Madison. In addition, she has completed graduate work in Applied English Linguistics at UW-Madison and the University of Oslo. She taught Norwegian at UW-Eau Claire and lived and worked in Norway before returning to Madison.  Her interest and passion has always been language teaching. She enjoys researching and exploring new ways to make language learning effective and fun. Most recently, she taught UW-Madison’s first fully online summer language course in Norwegian.
