Nete Schmidt arrived as a “Sendelektor” in 1998 and retired as Faculty Associate in 2021 after 23 years of teaching Danish Language and Culture and Scandinavian Literature. Her research and teaching comprised a.o. Women’s Literature (“Sexual Politics”); Scandinavian Noir and Science Fiction (“Criminal Utopias”); and “The Tales of Hans Christian Andersen.” Her areas of interest and research continue with these same topics.
