About:
Susanna is a PhD student in the German Department. She is originally from Snellville, Georgia and attended Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina for her Undergraduate Degrees. She received a BFA in Theatre Arts with a concentration in Costume Design, as well as a BA in Languages and Intercultural Studies with a concentration in German in 2021. She then got her MA in German Studies from the University of Kentucky in 2024. While studying at the University of Kentucky, she studied abroad for a year in Ludwigsburg, Germany at the Pädagogische Hochschule. She is now researching divided Germany through the lenses of film and gender and sexuality, specifically with the idea of revolt.
