Laurie Iudin-Nelson received her PhD in Slavic Studies in 1997. She recently retired from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa after 29 years of teaching. She is now Professor Emerita of Russian Studies as well as a student at the Wartburg Theological Seminary in the MDiv program, which leads to ordainment as a Lutheran pastor. She serves as Vicar in two parishes in rural Iowa. Slavic Studies congratulates Dr. Iudin-Nelson on her retirement and wishes her well in her MDiv program!
