About: Mélanie Yœurp joined the German Ph.D. program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a Fulbright Scholar after having graduated with an MA from Bonn Universität (Germany) and Université Paris-Sorbonne (France). She is finishing her dissertation which explores the figure of female Nazi bystanders, sympathizers, and accomplice in contemporary German family life narratives. Outside of research, Mélanie finds joy in teaching German language, collecting words, learning languages, hiking, and dancing Argentine tango.
