Russian Major: General Requirements
To earn an undergraduate major in Russian, students must complete 34 credits total, including 15 credits in language above 4th semester, and courses in literature, culture, and history. The most up to date information may be found in the Guide.

Honors in the Program
Students wishing to complete the requirements for Honors in the Major in Russian, in any of the three tracks, must apply to the department’s Russian Advisor.
In addition to meeting the general Russian major requirements and the requirements honors students must meet the following requirements:
- Earn a 3.300 University GPA
- Earn a 3.500 GPA in all courses in the major
- Complete 18 credits in the major taken for Honors, taken on campus, with grades of B or better in the following:
- Complete a SeniorThesis in SLAVIC 681 and SLAVIC 682 for at least 6 credits
