Area(s) of Study: 19th century Polish and Russian Literature, realism, and political theory

About Me: I am a graduate student in Slavic Languages and Literature. I received my MA degree in Turkish Studies from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, and worked as a translator and lecturer of Turkish. After that, I moved to Turkey, where I taught Polish at Istanbul University for five years. At UW-Madison, I teach Russian and Polish. My research focuses on political theory and the 19th century realist novel in a comparative context. I have also translated Turkish literature into Polish, including three most recent novels by Orhan Pamuk.
