About Me: Although he has lived in more than a half-dozen states and four countries, Seth is proud to call Minnesota home and enjoys being back in the Midwest at Wisconsin. Having majored in both history and German at the U.S. Military Academy in his B.Sc. studies, Seth has served as an active duty Army officer since 2014 and is now working towards his master’s degree before returning to his alma mater for a tour as a German instructor. Seth’s research interests are the 1848-1849 Revolution and the lives of “Forty-Eighter” immigrants in the U.S., which stem largely from his interest in American military history, and the connection of his ancestral hometown in Baden-Württemberg to several key events and leaders in the revolution.
